Round-Pond
Village is located in Lincoln County along the peaceful mid coast region of Maine, near Muscongus Bay on the Pemaquid Peninsula. Round Pond is only 15 minutes from the "twin villages" of Damariscotta and Newcastle. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound in this area; you are only one hour from spectacular Acadia National Park, a half-hour drive to Boothbay Harbor and just minutes to Damariscotta Lake State Park. Damariscotta Lake is a 14-mile long lake located inside the State Park. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day, the park is great for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking and picnicking. It contains tables and grills and also a nice playground area for children. There is also a public boat/kayak launch area on Round Pond Harbor. Nearby, the town of Damariscotta is a charming New England village with gift shops and antiques, great seafood restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. A short drive takes you to the Pemaquid Lighthouse, Pemaquid Beach and Fort William Henry. The Colonial Pemaquid Historical Site and Fort Pemaquid contains a museum, seafood restaurant and a picnic pier. The village of Round Pond is about one hour from the city of Portland, Maine.

Mid-coast Maine, east of Brunswick, has an oceanic climate with four seasons. This area has an elevation of approximately 70 feet above sea level and is surrounded by rolling farmlands, forest areas, numerous islands, peninsulas, bays and beaches. Winter temperatures generally range from 0 to 40 degrees F. and while accumulating snow remains a possibility into March and early April, warmer days generally means relatively fast melts. . Ice storms can also occur in winter and early spring. Summers along the coast are cool, with temperatures in the 60 to 80 degrees range. Nights are usually chilly along the coast, year round. Rain can occur in any month of the year, with thunderstorms most common during the spring and summer months. Crisp, sunny days and cool nights make fall one of the most pleasant times of the year along the mid-coast, a very comfortable and colorful time of the year to visit Maine.
